1. What we collect

Noted (“we,” “us”) collects a few different kinds of data:

  • Public business data: for our AI visibility audits, we collect publicly available information about local businesses (name, address, phone number, website, rating, review count) from search engines and from the outputs of AI assistants (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity) when asked industry- and location-based questions.
  • Information you give us: if you submit our lookup form, book a call, or email us, we collect what you provide (typically your name, business name, and email address).
  • Admin session data: our team uses a session cookie to sign in to the internal administration area. Clients do not need an account. We don't use this cookie for advertising or tracking across other sites.

2. How we use it

  • To generate and publish AI visibility reports.
  • To respond to inquiries and deliver services you've requested or purchased.
  • To reach out to business owners about our audit findings and services.
  • To operate and secure our internal administration tools.

3. Who we share it with

We use third-party infrastructure to run Noted, including hosting, database, email delivery, and search data providers. These providers handle data under their respective terms and privacy policies. We query third-party AI models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Perplexity) as part of running audits: we send them questions about services and locations, along with public business names to identify which firms appear in the answers. We do not sell personal data.

4. Report corrections and removal

If your business appears in one of our audit reports and you'd like it corrected or removed, email us and we'll handle it promptly: see the Contact page.

5. Cold email & unsubscribing

If we email you about our services, every message includes a way to opt out. Unsubscribe at any time and we'll stop: no further outreach.

6. Data retention

We keep audit and service records as long as reasonably needed to provide the service or as required by law, and delete it on request where we're not required to keep it.

7. Children's privacy

Noted is a B2B service and is not directed at, or knowingly used by, children.

8. Changes to this policy

We'll update the “last updated” date above if this policy changes in any material way.
